Dear Friends,

It’s a great pleasure to welcome you to the Orthopaedica Belgica 2012 Congress, the major orthopaedic meeting organized by BVOT – SORBCOT in Belgium.

This Congress will be held in the historical city of Brugge, Belgium, on 20 – 22 June 2012.

The main subject of this national Congress will be 'Orthopaedic Concerns in Sports Medicine'. Each one of us, no matter what type of speciality he practices, comes into contact with sports injuries. It is therefore certainly a subject of interest to everybody.

We had the opportunity to have an outstanding Scientific Committee that has prepared a very exciting scientific program. We mainly focused on practical approaches. We have exciting plenary sessions and educational instructional courses. Moreover, we planned plenty of time for the subspecialities.

In addition, we offer you the old city of Brugge, one of the most important historical cities of Western Europe. The center is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. This example of a medieval historic settlement is commonly known as “the Venice of the North”. It is also closely associated with the school of Flemish Primitive painting.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Brugge in June 2012.
