How to get to Bruges
By plane: Brussels airport is a major European airport and has plenty of connections. It has direct highway and train access to Bruges.
By train: There are 2 direct trains per hour from Brussels Central Railway Station (50 minutes). From London and Paris, Bruges can easily be reached by Thalys & Eurostar. For details and timetables, go to:www.b-rail.be
Note: In Belgium there is a reduction on train tickets for the elderly (65+). These reductions are valid for travelling after 09.00 am on Monday through Friday, there are no time restrictions for travelling during the weekend.
By car: Bruges is located near the E40 highway and has excellent road access to all over Europe (3 hours from Paris, 2 hours from Amsterdam, 1 hour only from the Chunnel).
What to do upon arrival at Brussels airport (Zaventem)
The airport is connected to the 3 railway stations in Brussels (South or Midi, Central and North Stations) by 3 direct trains per hour. From these railway stations there are 2 direct trains to Bruges every hour. Train tickets can be purchased at the airport (level -2). So, there are no direct trains from the airport to Bruges: first, take a train to Brussels South, Central or North, and change for a train to Bruges.

How to access the KHBO by car
On the E40, take exit nr 7 (Brugge - Loppem). At the end of the exit, on the roundabout, follow the direction “Brugge”. At the next traffic lights, turn to the left, direction “Zeebrugge”. Keep to the left, to enter the parallel road after the cinemacomplex “Kinepolis”. Follow the parallel road and you arrive at the campus to your right. Attention: The congress venue is NOT accessible by car through the Xaverianenstraat. Please enter “Koningin Astridlaan” in your GPS system.
Car Park
There is a car park for 450 cars in front of the congress venue.
Liability
Neither the organisers, nor the local committee accept liability for damages and/or losses of any kind which be incurred by participants during the congress. Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accidents or damage which could be incurred during the congress.
Language
The official language is English. There is no simultaneous translation.
